Don’t mind me. I’m just in need of some cheese.*
I didn’t feel like getting up today. Or getting dressed. I went to hang out with my friend Sarah, (which was fun, by the way. We watched Jane Eyre.) and if I didn’t absolutely hate it when people go places in their pajamas, I’d probably have just gone over to her house in my pajamas.
As it was, I went through several outfits before settling on jeans. (Jeans! I know, weird.)
Thing is, I’ve lost weight since I bought these jeans, so they’re getting too lose. Already. Which isn’t a bad thing– the losing weight– but I just bought these, and they’re the first pair of jeans in years that I’ve actually liked on me. Who knows, by the end of this challenge I might not even be able to keep them up decently. That’d be nice… I mean… because it’d mean I’d lost quite a few pounds. Not because I want to run around town with my jeans hanging indecently low. *ahem*
I don’t feel like doing anything tonight. I don’t really feel like writing an informational (or funny) blog, I don’t feel like replying to the comments I got yesterday or the emails I have to respond to… I don’t feel like doing anything. So… I won’t. Commenters and emailers, I love you all, but you’re on hold till tomorrow. I’m still sick, and I’m taking me a sick day. 😀
Oh! I just remembered that it’s Monday and I’m supposed to have a WWC picture up for y’all. Um… yeah.
WWC has been postponed until tomorrow as well.
Sorry. I’m sick, lazy, and I don’t want to do anything but eat a warm piece of buttered banana bread and drink some coffee and snuggle under lots of blankets (it’s cold) while giving in to my imagination and creating my own little worlds full of dashing heroes and swooning heroines.
Will you forgive me if I make a cute face?
I’m going to go get that banana bread.
Bye!
P.S. Those little index pictures I meant to make for my 30 for 30 outfits aren’t ever going to happen. Outfit details:
Cardigan, $5; Jeans, $6; Headband, $2.39; Shoes, somewhere around $10; Belt, $0.99.
Approximate outfit cost: $24.38
*to go with my “whine.” Get it? Get it? 😀 Okay, okay. It’s a stupid joke.

What’re you doing to lose weight??
Mara
Well… honestly, it doesn’t feel like I’m doing much at all. A lot of it is mandatory eating habits, since I can’t eat sugar– if I do, my throat closes up and I could die– so that takes out pretty much most junk food. I don’t eat chips any more because I currently have a temporary filling I don’t want to knock out. I’m not really a fan of white breads/white pastas, so I generally only eat whole wheat as it is, but I also don’t eat a lot of bread because… I’m just not a bread person.
The two things that I’ve changed in my habits that I have to say are the habits that have helped me lose weight:
#1– actually eating breakfast. I’m not kidding or exaggerating when I say that every time I consistently eat a good breakfast (usually yogurt and fruit for me), I lose weight. And when I skip breakfast, I either plateau, or I gain weight.
#2– I drink water all the time. I have a water bottle that I habitually carry with me around the house and into the car, and what started because of a lingering cough has just become a habit to drink tons of water every day. And actually, I rarely drink anything else– I have my coffee in the morning, and I have water the rest of the day. I can’t drink juice a lot — even sugar free– because too much gives me a headache, and I’ve never been a soda-pop person.
Oh, and there’s a third thing: learning when you’re full vs when you’re TOO full helps a lot. I try not to eat when I’m watching TV or reading, because I don’t think about whether my stomach is telling me to quit.
So yeah. The next step is to start getting some sort of exercise… which is the hard part. I hate exercising!
Bethly
Hehehe. You’re forgiven. ^.^ Although I was reaaally looking forward to that picture…
Eees okay. Feel better, m’dear!
Mara
Oh, thank you. *whew* I was afraid you might hate me forever. 😀
I will try!
Sarah
Hey! You totally could have come in your pajamas, then I would have stayed in my pajamas and we could have watched Jane Eyre on the couch in our pajamas… it would have been cool! 🙂 Oh well, next time.
(BTW, she haaaad to say she had fun because I read her blog, so who knows what the truth is… lol.) (No really, of course she had fun! We laughed and laughed and squeed and sighed and all while watching Jane Eyre and keeping track of a baby.)
Mara
Hehee. That would have been fun. But I hate going places in my pj’s unless it’s a pj party or a sleepover. I don’t know why. 😀 Hehe.
I totally had to say it. I mean, you gave me chocolate pudding. Sugar FREE. It was the best. That’s the only reason I came. 😀 😀 😀
FYI, though, sugar free chocolate pudding is actually WAY better than the stuff with sugar in it. Which is kind of weird, but nice.
Sarah
Well then next time we’ll call it a pj party! For just the two of us! Plus Oliver. I can even leave him in his pj’s. How’s that? Also, yes sugar free chocolate pudding is pretty good.
Mara
Ohhh sounds good! 😀

Congrats on the weight loss! I hate exercising too…I love chocolates which doesn’t help and neither is the love for peanut butter!!
Mara
Yeah, exercise is… bleh. Right now, I have a legitimate excuse not to exercise, because of this cold… but eventually I”ll have no excuses left. 😀
I love chocolate. *sigh* It’s been so long since I’ve had chocolate, with exception of sugar-free chocolate pudding at my friend’s house yesterday.
And hey, peanut-butter can be good for you! My mom can’t have sugar either, so we have this amazing all-natural peanut butter that is SO good. I love peanut-butter, too. (Reeses Peanut Butter cups were/are my favorite candy. I haven’t had those in… oh, goodness. I don’t even know how long.)
Avra-Sha Faohla
Peanut butter is fun. Stirring it is not. 😀

Congrats on loosing weight 🙂 I read your reply to the first comment and WOW! You didn’t eat anything with sugar!! How can you do this? Why? Why don’t I have an allergy at sugar?? 😛 Just kidding!
You’re very awesome in these jeans and lol at your description about walking around in the city with your too loose jeans!!! ahahhahah! 😀 Pretty top as well, this color looks GOOD on you! And the shoes are so to die for! You rock again, I can see! 😀 😀 And of course you’re forgiven, your sweet face made up for all the things that have to be done! Come on, screw everybody! Laziness RULES! 😀
Mara
Maybe I should write a blog about this. 😉 I’m used to not having sugar, because my mom also can’t have it– she’s not allergic as I am, but it gives her headaches and inflames her arthritis– so… in that, it’s not hard. And y’know. When you eat something and your throat starts to close up, it makes it WAY easier to avoid that food! Life or death situations are good for that. 😉
Haha! Well, other people wear jeans down at their knees, but not me. 😉 Thanks, love! Teehee. Laziness IS nice.
Joy
That is the most adorable outfit! I especially love the top…I tend to wear mostly jewel tones (especially purple), but I really like that color combo on you.
Mara
Thank you, dear! I like this color, too. 🙂
Sarah
Ma ma Maraaa you are probably my favouritest blogger!! I love your posts..you know I love these jeans of yours and that last picture of you on the webcam LOVE!!! You look so cute and coy!! Plus thats a really cute headband and congrats on the weight loss. we are the team of sickness and weight loss. So I think we MIGHT be soul mates hahah:P Also I hope this isnt like inconsiderate (is that the word Im after) I read one of your replies on here and I quote :if I do, my throat closes up and I could die” Thats so serious but it just made me laugh for some reason..and Now i am sounding like an evil bitch. So I really hope you dont eat sugar AT ALL IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE coz I dont want you to die. Sick laughter, I want you alive haha and Now im rambling. XOOXOXOXOX
Mara
Awww, thank you love!
Hahaha! It’s okay, it makes me laugh too. I like to say that for dramatic effect: “Oh, I can’t eat that or I’ll die.” Which, I mean, it’s true. But it’s also really funny to say or hear. 😀
Sarah
Hhahah agood I was worried there that I had totally offended you and you hated me!! ahaha. Sick sense of humour I guess x
Mara
Hehe, oh, don’t worry about offending me. I’m not easily miffed at ALL. And I laugh at everything (crying kids and death, remember?), especially when it’s myself. 😉 😀
