In which I am a very fancy pumpkin.

In honor of today (but mostly because the lighting in my pictures was wonky) I decided to do heavier editing and give my pictures a spooky feel. Well… or something.

You know, my family never celebrated Halloween. I’ve never been trick-or-treating, and the only party I ever went to dressed in costume for Halloween was an 80’s themed party. I went as a dead 80’s prom girl. It was… anticlimactic.

And on the one day that I could have legitimately dressed up in some crazy costume for you guys and not have to explain myself, I decided to be normal. Because I’m a rebel like that.

These may be the last pictures I take by this tree. Treasure them. You may never see that tree again.

Unless I take pictures at the house tomorrow… and then you will.

So, because it’s Halloween and I feel like doing a Halloween-type post (which, by the way, I didn’t even remember today was Halloween until I went to the store and saw a witch. And then I realized that I am wearing orange. We can pretend I’m a pumpkin. A very fancy pumpkin.), here are a few random things that I find creepy:

  • Automatic toilets in public restrooms. Seriously. It’s like there’s this little tiny person watching you pee, and its sole job is to flush the toilet so you don’t have to.
  • Pockmarked surfaces. Like this rock. I don’t know why. (I did say random.)
  • Those big posters girls put on their walls of famous actors. I don’t like strange men staring at me while I sleep, thank you very much. Even if they are good looking. And made out of paper.
And things I don’t find creepy that most people do:
  • Clowns. (I love clowns. I think they’re amazing. The weirder they look, the more I love them.)
  • Monsters. Because they’re not real.
  • Flirtatious little old men. They make me laugh. (My coworkers ALL think the flirtatious little old men are creepy.)

I thought this picture was appropriate, seeing as how my abnormal eye coloration is really apparent (even in the unedited photo) and it’s sort of halloween-y.
And I would like to introduce you to my eccentric owl. He’s the only one out of about ten necklaces that was upside-down, which is exactly why I chose him, and I love him to pieces. I’ve been wearing him for the last three days. Isn’t he adorable?

I’ve decided to name him Alby. Because… just… because.

I hope you have all had a lovely day! Happy almost November! I’m going to go do the most Halloween thing I do and watch A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Details: shirt ($2.50) and belt ($0.99), thrifted. Skirt ($…I forget… $17?), and necklace ($2.80) Forever 21; shoes, old; sweater, was grandma’s.

Happy Belated Halloween to you! I love your random list of creepy and non creepy things. As for old men that a flirtatious, hmm..I guess it depends on whether said old men were cute little grandfatherly looking or not..hehe.

Do like that picture of your eyes..it does look Halloween-y!

Happy (not belated for me, anyway) Halloween! Hehe, most of the flirtatious old men are cute and grandfatherly, so I don’t mind them. Although I did find out that one, who I thought was much older, was only 49. And that made him maybe slightly creepy. 😀

      Thanks!

I love A Nightmare before Christmas! Classic disturbing Tim Burton movie. I wanted to watch it last night, but we only have the oldschool VHS version and we don’t have a VCR anymore. *insert sad violin music*

Random trivia, but Tim Burton was just ranked #8 on some top 10 creepiest celebrities list. You are now that much smarter. You’re welcome.

I can’t imagine a childhood without epic Halloween celebrating! My mom loves Halloween so we always had elaborate costumes and decorations all over the house.
The eye picture in this post is really neat! I love how it’s edited to highlight your fun eye color.

Happy Halloween! We don’t celebrate it in Greece (though, we do have a similar celebration in April), but I wish we did. I think it’s funny! 😛 I don’t know what costume I’d choose, but it doesn’t even matter! You know what I’d love to do the most if I ever find myself in USA this time of the year? Say ‘trick’ and not ‘treat’! What are kids doing then??? I always wanted to know! 😀
These pics look so awesome! I love the editing, and of course the outfit 🙂 Your eyes are gorgeous, I love this picture! 🙂 Your heterochromia is cool! 😀
Ok, I feel like you have mixed them lol, how is it possible to not be afraid of clowns????? Jesus! Ever since I watched this silly movie ‘The Something’, I hate clowns. And when I say I hate, I mean it. They’re so obnoxious and stupid. They’re not even funny with this fake smile on their faces. Grrr…:P 😛 But I have to agree with you on the pockmarked surfaces. I’m always afraid that there’s a bee or something hiding in there :S 😛

I rebelled by not dressing up for Halloween, too 🙂 Well, rebelled/ forgot. We never celebrated the day either. And I am totally the same as you! I don’t find any of those things creepy. Well, sometimes the old men, but not the others.

I really like these pictures! your outfit is lovely, especially the polka-dot shirt. And Alba is perfect. I hope all the blood isn’t rushing to his head!

I love flirtatious old men! I used to work in a call center, and I would love it when, after helping an old man, he would say something like, “You sound lovely. If I was fifty years younger and wasn’t married….”+
