Farm Girl
I feel very, very farm-girl-esque today. I don’t know what it is about this outfit, but something about it just makes me think of… a farm.
Interesting fact about me (maybe, or maybe it’s a boring fact): I grew up on a farm. We didn’t have a lot of animals– just chickens, dogs, cats, and brothers– but it was a farm nonetheless. We had a garden (I remember corn and tomatoes, mostly), a little orchard full of apples, and bears that would sleep in the grass in our front yard.
This neighborhood is the closest thing I’ve gotten to city living. And it further cements my desire to live in the country, because I went out to take my outfit pictures and oh my goodness our backyard neighbors had the audacity to be doing their dishes at 8:30 in the morning. In their window. Facing my photographing spot. The nerve.
And anyway, who does their dishes at 8:30am? Not me. I do my dishes at never’o’clock, and my cleaning at ha!yearightam.
If you’re wondering what’s up with the weird posing… the sun was trying to eat my head. Again.
So I have a somewhat random question for you all: what do you think of your knees?
You see, I have friends (male and female) who think that women have weird knees. I know lots of women who hate their knees. And I have never understood this. I think knees are perfectly fine parts of the anatomy, and it’s just unfair how much hate they get for being themselves.
I actually like my knees. They work, most of the time… unless I sit cross-legged for too long and then they join in protest with my hips and render me incapable of walking like anything but a spastic freak for about two minutes… and also, my knees have freckles on them. And you should know by now that I have a love for anything with freckles.
So… er… yes. I think we’ll stop that thought right there before things get weird. Or did they already get weird?
There. That should make things… more… awkward…
Er… SO!
I think I’ll leave you now. Because I’m feeling weird, and you really don’t want to be traumatized.
But before I leave, I need your help: see, I love doing tutorials, but I have no idea what to do next. And you, my readers, can be in control of what I post in my makeup tutorials. Find me a picture, tell me a look you want to see, and I’ll make a list. It can be crazy, it can be normal, it can be anything but a look involving fake eyelashes (because I’m crap at putting those on). I am completely at your mercy for tutorials.

Doing dishes at 8:30am? “Ima nas raznih”, as they say in my country (loose translation – there are many different (weird) people).
Knees are knees. They are what they are, just like the rest of us. I have no opinion of my knees. But I’m thankful that I have them. 😀
Referring to the last picture – that’s the sexy look I was talking about! 😀 And it made me feel just a bit weird. 😀

Such a pretty dress! loving it.
Knees look kind of weird/funny, because when you straighten your legs there’s like, this extra skin that puckers… ha ha. Basically, like any other joint in the body, except knees are probably the biggest and most flexible in the body (so, more skin that puckers). Never noticed a significant difference between women’s vs men’s knees, though…

But I must admit that I don’t see what’s the big deal with washing dishes at 8:30. I’d do it. I usually wash my dishes and silverware as soon as I’m done using them, as well as whatever’s in the dishpan if I’ve time (I hate letting everything pile up), so if I have something to wash at 8:30, I’ll wash it at 8:30.

I love my knees, I love all knees. Knees are all shaped differently and they generally look funny and they’re wonderful. Do you think maybe your dislike for neighbors stems from never having neighbors? I don’t like seeing mine either though, and I’ve always lived ‘in town’. Great outfit! I love the cardigan.

I don’t like my knees!!! I don’t mind wearing skirts and dresses that go above them, as long as I can’t see them when I look down. Or I just refuse to look down. 😛 It’s not the knees that bother me so much… it’s the way they look when they’re straight. All knobby and creepy. Like they’re hiding something sinister. My knees are fine when I’m bending them slightly! Even pretty! That’s probably why I stand with such horrible posture. I’m trying to make my knees acceptable. 😛 And I don’t have that problem with anyone else’s knees! Just my own! I WANT TO HIDE THEM!! *cowers*

I don’t understand people not liking their knees either. They’re all kind of strange looking, so why hate on them? There’s much stranger-looking parts of people’s bodies… haha

Well, I live in a tiiiiny village by the sea, so I don't really know how it is to be living in a city -ironic, I want to move to New York one day 😛 To be honest, though, I like it this way. Maybe there are times when I feel bad in my village due to lack of any entertaining activity, no cinemas, not even cafes -yep, it's THAT small, but I prefer it a million times over life in a polluted city.
Knees… You hit a nerve now. I don't like my knees, they're weird, they're ugly. I'm persuaded that knees are the ugliest part of human body. They look….old. But I'm pretty sure that walking would be a somewhat difficult task without knees, so I guess we should be thankful 😛
