Almost Lover

I thought I’d do something a little different– black and white pictures. Or almost black and white. I never do colorless things (you know me and bright colors) but my outfit is all black, brown, and cream today so it doesn’t detract much to make it grayscale. Right?

I’ve had Almost Lover stuck in my head all day. It has become a sort of inspiration/theme song for that vampire novel I’m trying to finish this month, and I can’t stop singing it. It’s one of the most beautiful songs ever.

And my boss was mocking me when I was humming it at work. Which made it slightly less beautiful. Darn him.

So I had one of the creepiest customers ever today. He would not take his eyes off of me. And not in a “he keeps glancing at me/pretending to be cool but really infatuated” kind of way, no. He stared, lingered, kept direct eye contact, and did not blink. And tried to make conversation about the weather. And craned his neck to watch me as he drove away.

He was even creepier than the married man that lingered and winked at me yesterday.

*sigh* At least there are nice, decent men to combat the weird ones. And outnumber them.

 I really don’t have much to say today. My mind is on other things. Like writing.

Speaking of which, I have decided to make my writing website public, partly because I’m tired of responding to password request emails (I have some from two months ago that I’ve yet to reply to, which is terrible of me) but also because… making my writing private, even with the 200+ people I’ve given passwords to, has taken something away from my joy of writing. One of the biggest parts of my writing is sharing it with others and sort of… spreading my love for writing to others.

I’ve never written to please others, but I just… love sharing with people, and making it some sort of exclusive club has detracted something from my joy.

I haven’t completed changes yet, but when it’s totally public and ready later today, I’ll do a post here and let you know.
