Easter
It feels like it’s been forever since I posted a blog! But in fact, it’s only been a week. I have missed you all, though, and I’ve missed all of the shenanigans that arise taking outfit pictures. This particular shoot, I decided at one point (which you’ll see) to climb and lean on an old fence… which resulted in my arms becoming so inflamed with an allergic reaction that I had red ridges everywhere I’d touched the fence. It was beautiful.
Mr. Owl and I tried to do a little Easter photoshoot beneath the beautiful blooming tree in my driveway, but we’re so out of practice… plus, we only had about fifteen minutes before we had to leave for a family gathering.
We did get one good picture out of the bunch– and this is the fence to which I am, apparently, highly allergic. I’m assuming it’s more the pollen or mold or… who knows what else is on that fence that created the reaction, but who knows! I’m allergic to trees, so it could be the wood. 😉
As a side note, I love that Mr. Owl is brave enough a man to wear pink. I tried to take a few pictures of him later, when we went down to the beach near my house, but he never looks at the camera when I’m taking pictures. So you can’t see his face, but still…
… he looked good. What’s better, he wore a bow tie and suspenders to church yesterday morning (with a different pink shirt), and it reminded me of Doctor Who.
I think I shall definitely keep this one. 😉 Not that I want (or have had) any others to choose from, but y’know. I should probably stop talking before this sentence becomes a run-on of mush.
I hope you’ve all had a good week, weekend, and Easter while I’ve been gone! I know this isn’t quite the regular outfit post I Â meant it to be (we haven’t taken outfit pictures for the entire week of settling into the new house) but I will be trying to get this week back to its full posting schedule.
Have a beautiful Monday!

I was just wondering what had happened to you, pretty woman. I have missed your lovely face, and I’m glad to see a peek of Mr Owl here! Also, don’t you owe me an email. *mock growl* 😉 LOVE YOU.

I’m sorry, my love! My computer is slowly dying (the computer cord broke, once again, and now my computer is acting strange.), which is kind of my only excuse. I’m only ever online for about thirty minutes of the day now. But I will do my best to send you a good long email! <3

Aww, love that picture of you two by the fence! I’d say it’s worth the allergic reaction 😀
Mara
Totally worth it. Hehe. 😀
Comy
Nice outfit, as usual. 🙂
I love the second picture, you look so beautiful in it. 😀
Also, you should do your hair like that more often (meaning always), it looks great.
Mara
Why, thank you! If I had the patience, I totally would. But even taking 20 minutes for hair is a long time to me. I’m just impatient like that. 😀

Hi! Happy Easter! We celebrate Easter this Sunday, but still..Happy Easter 😛
I’m sorry for the allergic reaction, I’m sure it was bad, but it was kind of worth it because these pics are super adorable! I love your white dress, you look so cute! And this tree is pretty. Mr. Owl looks amazing with his pink shirt! I always love pink on men, but most of them don’t wear it because they think it is a ‘girl’ color. But your adorable mr. Owl rocks it 😀 LOVE your hair by the way. And hope everything’s good with the new house! Byeee! :*
Mara
Thank you! I thought he looked pretty good, too! 😀

Love your dress! And you two are just too cute! For real, though. 🙂

Um, yeah. His shirt is amazing and with suspenders I can totally see him looking like Doctor Who (can I just say, I love that you know Doctor Who! 🙂 )
And your dress is gorgeous! I love white dresses.
Mara
I know, doesn’t he look like Doctor Who? I love it. I finally got him to watch season five, and now he’s more inclined to wear his suspenders and bow-tie than he was before he watched Doctor Who (he was too shy to wear them since nobody ever wears bow ties any more.)
mariecarolk
Well you know, bow ties are cool 😉

If this was Facebook, I would “like” this comment. 😀

Love the dress, the sweater, all of it! Very cute. I hope to try this myself sometime.
Mara
I hope you can! 🙂

Ugh that sucks so much that you had a reaction to a fence! I greatly dislike allergies! I’m glad you survived though. At least the pictures turned out really cute. You look so pretty in your white dress.
Mara
Yeah, the reaction was kind of bad, but I get really fascinated by my allergic reactions. I never used to have them, so it’s all new and weird and kind of interesting to me!
Thank you. 😀

Did you know that baby boys used to be dressed in pink while baby girls were dressed in blue?
Mara
I did! But I don’t remember how I knew that, or why it changed.

I loved the choice of clothes. Besides the dress is beautiful, seems to be quite comfortable! Kisses
Mara
It is very comfortable. It’s a good weight so that it can be worn in cold weather with layers or in warm weather by itself. 🙂

A dress made for all seasons of the year!
