Friday Links
{Thrifted}: dress (9.99) and cardigan ($5.99); {Target}: Shoes (old); {Made} Necklace (who knows…)
Since I missed a post yesterday (due to the fact that these pictures were on Mr. Owl’s camera at his house, and not in my computer where they belong), this is day four of the 30 Days of Dresses. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a day five picture, but that’s okay, because it was boring anyway.
If you want to see the rest of this weekend’s dresses, check my Facebook page daily! They’ll be there. 😉
Also: my birthday is in seven days. Gah! I can’t believe it! I don’t even know what I want. Other than, you know, pretty things and owl-y things.
Things I Love:
- Teika’s dress and shoes. I need me some mint and red things now to mix and match.
- This old Wal-Mart flyer from the sixties. Ah, how things have changed…
Creative Things:
- This photo series, The Girl With Seven Horses, is absolutely stunning, and so unique! I love it!
- Well, I don’t know if I’d exactly call this creative, but destroying things in slow motion is always cool to watch! (The best one is the candle+flour. And also, that poor house…)
Weekend Laugh:
- A dad tries to get his toddler to say he’s her favorite parent. With very little success. (warning, two caption bad words (not actually said, just captioned.)
- This pregnancy FAQ answers any questions you might have. Well… sort of. 😀
Weekend Education:
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

I really enjoyed that last link, about the book smell! (Are you surprised? ;D) Thanks for sharing!

WOW!!! This video with the slow motion thing is SO cool! The best thing I saw today! The flour with the fire, the drying rack (the clothes looked so funny turning around in slow motion), the water, and the watermelon, oh and also the coke are some of my faves, but really the whole video rocks!
And this series of pictures with the horses is just so sad… I loved it, the pictures were full of emotions.
I too love Tieka’s dress, it looks lovely on her, but I’m not really sold on the shoes. They’re not my style, but I can see you rocking them!
Ow, this thing about owls is kind of creepy… I wish I didn’t know it. I don’t know why, but I just don’t like the idea of them being so small.. Jesus! I think I don’t like them…I know you adore them, but when I was little, my tiny bird got eaten by an owl, so I’m kinda suspicious with them..
ahhahahahaha, the video with the baby is hilarious! I loled at the “Dad…Kidding…Mom” ahhahah!! And the answers regarding pregnancy are so funny as well, I saw this a few days ago on 9gag.com and I couldn’t stop laughing 😛
Such an interesting thing about old books as well. I can’t explain how much I adore this smell. I have many old books from my godmother and I just can’t help it, I smell them all the time!
I LOVE your Friday Links posts. I know I’ve told this before, but honestly I’m always looking forward for them! 😀
Oh and I totally forgot to comment on the look (as if this comment was not long enough :P)! This striped cardigan is a beauty! And the dress is amazing, at first I thought it was a top and a skirt! You look lovely!
Sorry for the super long comment, but I get overly excited with these posts 😛 Hope your weekend will be great :* :*

I think you do have a preference for dresses that can pass as skirts! Still a great outfit though; I love that cardigan.

Fun links! I loved Teika’s red and mint outfit too. And the pregnancy faq’s! So funny!
Also, that dress was a great thrift find. I love the neckline of it. Very flattering.

Another great look you have there Mara, Love the contrast between the plain yellow top and the clean lines of the cardigan.
And happy birthday when it comes.
