Paris in the Morning | Outfit
Happy Thursday! This post is coming to you really late because today was just… guys. You know those days when you just can’t? And you just want to slum around in your pajamas and watch TV all day? Today felt like one of those days for me, except I have two kids and Asa just wants to watch Daniel Tiger (side note, the Tiger family has tiger skin drapes. Um. Twisted much?) and feed his sister all the things she can’t eat (everything).
So instead, we went to my parents’ house and watched Emma while Asa played with a bunch of toys that he isn’t used to, and Evie pooped and slept and did normal baby things. And, I didn’t take pictures of my outfit today (I’m generally posting a day ahead of time, so this was yesterday’s outfit) but to make up for it, I did do another OOTD video.
All I have to say about it is… *cue awkward dancing* This eShakti Paris dress makes up for it, right?

If you make OOTD videos, what do you even do? As if I didn’t feel awkward enough already, my neighbor’s garage door was open the entire time and I was terrified that he would come out and see me prancing in the yard and wonder where my kids were (napping) and why I was making eyes at a camera.
As you may have noticed, I am a lot less… er… graceful… on camera. Which maybe you already knew. I feel like my personality isn’t quite as pronounced in photos, because I tend to get all #modelface (I can’t believe I just did that, but it is the best way to express what I mean. Sorry guys. Social media has taken over.) and not be my usual relaxed silly self. So even though I’m mildly shaking my head at myself, I also like the videos because then you can get to know me a bit more.
Basically, I am half calm, serious, graceful (?) woman, and half awkward, silly, giggly girl.
I think it’s a good balance. I am fairly certain that I am what they call “young at heart.” (Sung in a Frank Sinatra voice while shimmying my shoulders.)

I have noticed lately that my blogging tone has really changed since I first started. I don’t know when it changed, but I think I started to feel as though a fashion blogger should have a more “professional” tone and I got a lot less… perhaps not less myself, but less random. What I write is still 100% me, but it’s only a facet of my personality. And I think doing videos definitely brings out the other, lighter, more spontaneous side of me. Which I love!
Has your blogging personality changed since you started?
P.S. If you love Lord of the Rings and podcasts, or neither but you like me, or just you’re bored one day and need a podcast to listen to, you should pop over to the podcast my husband and I run. It’s the LOTR trilogy chapter-by-chapter, as discussed by us. And I know, it sounds really nerdy and maybe a little boring, but I promise, it’s not. We get off track a lot.
Let me correct that: *I* get off track a lot. And I have it on good authority (from my brother-in-law, nephews+nieces, and parents) that we’re pretty entertaining. So, you know. Go have a listen!
Happy Thursday!

Oh gosh! You’re just adorable!!! Like super duper cute! The video really shows how adorable you are!!! I just want to give you a big hug at the end of the vid (and I’m not usually one for hugs). I love that you add videos. I think you are right, we get to see more of your lovely personality that way!
The dress is beautiful and I love the print on it. I also love that you styled it with yellow accents – looks great that way!
Have a lovely weekend!
Much love,
Mona

And sorry to load a bunch of comments on you at one time but, I’m behind on basically everything in life right now. So, I’m doing some catch up.
You are too stinkin’ cute in your video. While, I adore your #modelface (apparently I have one too because my sister has taken to mimicking me in pictures) the silliness is a great addition!
