Hobbit Newborn Photoshoot || Freya Evenstar
In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit… and her name was Freya Evenstar.
Her parents met discussing their love of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and Peter Jackson, and everything elvish, hobbit-ish, and J.R.R. Tolkien. Her mother had the Evenstar for which she is named, her father had an extensive and all-encompassing knowledge of Middle Earth. Nine years later, Freya was born, and this very special hobbit newborn photoshoot was created.
Door: made by my husband || Freya’s outfit: vintage
Ever since deciding on Freya Evenstar’s name, I’ve had it in the back of my mind to create a Lord of the Rings inspired newborn photoshoot. Specifically, a hobbit-baby shoot. What would a little newborn hobbit look like? (Probably hairier feet, but I digress.) Imagine my surprise when I searched for some inspiration and found… nothing? I think it’s safe to say, Freya may be the very first newborn to have an authentically hobbity newborn photoshoot, and to be honest it turned out exactly how I wanted it to!
Thanks to my husband Suko Films for making me a hobbit door for this photoshoot, and for being as in love with Lord of the Rings as I am, and also for making really cute babies with me. 💗
