Hello, Fall

Edits-13A week or so ago, I started getting items in the mail to do a little try-on-haul for a brand called Belle Poque. I have actually bought a few of their dresses over the years and I’ve always loved the brand, so when they reached out to me to collaborate on a haul video I was thrilled. In that haul was this cardigan. And as soon as I opened it, I knew it would be the PERFECT match for my Emily and Fin rainbow plaid skirt. I’ve actually already worn this outfit twice in the week that I’ve had the cardigan. I love it that much!

And, it was nice to get out and shoot some photos just for fun. I’m itching for fall to come so that I can officially break out all of my fall colors and wool skirts, but it’s still just a tad bit too warm here.

This year has been an interesting one creatively. I feel like I’ve been extremely productive. I’ve been shooting a lot more creatively photography wise, I’ve been settling into a niche with YouTube, I’ve been writing a ton and have a goal to get my novel finished by November, and I’ve been editing as well for a new friend. I’ve also been working hard to sell off the vintage that I have piled up in our house. We have no storage for my vintage shop, so I’ve decided that for now… I’m not going to be a vintage seller.

Which I know I’ve already mentioned. It’s still interesting trying to balance everything that I want to do. I know when I’m officially done with vintage, I’ll have a bit more time for everything else… maybe. Between all of the creative things and being a mother, there’s not much time to do anything else!

Edits-21Collage 1Edits-11 But I suppose in many ways, I’m just learning to make time for what is most important. Outside of motherhood, for me, it’s writing. I am SO motivated to finish writing this novel, edit it, and put it out there to be read. I just wish I hadn’t taken so long to realize that this is the path for me! All the hangups I had over self-publishing (I’m not a “real” author, it’s what people who can’t get published do, I won’t be taken seriously, whatever other silly notion I had) really held me back for a while. But I’m ready to just DO it.

And hopefully it’ll be worth it.
