Collectif Tartan in the Snow
It finally snowed here.
Our first (and probably last!) snow of the year has been absolutely beautiful and, as I write this, is not over. I will never not take photos in the snow. For me, since we don’t get snow often, there’s something so magical about it! Yesterday I wore this gorgeous plaid Collectif tartan dress, and it’s the perfect weight for all of the cold weather. With a double layer of tights, some warm Maurice’s furry boots, and a cape, I felt quite toasty despite the extreme weather.

While I am obviously not sitting out in the snow reading on the regular, I thought it would be fun to bring along a basket and blanket and book anyway! I’m all for props, even if they might be a little unrealistic. Besides, soon I’ll be introducing book-related content on my YouTube channel, and I’m so excited for that! Right now, I’m reading The Clockmakers Daughter by Kate Morton. It’s fascinating and I have NO idea what will happen next.
These boots have become my new favorite winter boots.
I got them from Maurice’s during their end of season sale, alongside three other pairs. I have been searching for some practical yet vintage-looking boots for AGES now, so to find so many styles was exciting! So far, they’ve proven themselves in wet, soggy weather AND snow. No leaks, no slipping, the rubber grip is great, and they’re so, so cute. I love a good fashionable thing that is also practical!
