    I couldn’t help but squeal when I read this post!  And your ring is so beautiful!  I wish you both not all the happiness in the world as I had originally intended.  For happiness is lovely, but it can get rather boring and it is true that it is the trials of this life that really bring people closest together.  So instead, I wish you both a life full of adventure and excitement  …  as well as all the happiness in the world.  Love you both!  😉

    Congratulations!!!   Wishing you many happy years together.  My hubby and I have been married for 16 years (we’ve been together for 21 years – since we were 16) and every day/week/month/year, I love him more and more.  It’s wonderful to be married to my best friend…and I hope all of that to you both!

    1. I know, it is! But I figure in a few months, we’ll have a whole new (and the best) anniversary entirely, so y’know. I guess we could just keep celebrating all three. 😀 Haha!

      The lady at the jewelry place we went to get the ring sized was impressed, too. She was like “Your ring is the prettiest one I’ve seen all day. It’s even prettier than the stuff we carry!” So, y’know. 😉

  34. Aw, congratulations!  I was wondering why I was seeing owl cake toppers on your Pinterest page.  🙂  In the back of my head I thought, “Oh, she probably got proposed to.”  I’m glad to see I was right.  Your story and pictoral depiction are so sweet and do so well to capture the moment.

    That ring is beautiful!  Mine engagement was (well, I guess is, since I’m still married) a star sapphire and diamonds and exactly what I wanted, without him even having to ask!  Hooray for uniquely beautiful rings!

Marie texted me right when you posted and was like AHHHHH! DID YOU READ MARA’S POST!?!! (I’ve got a lot of caps lock going on in this comment)

    And Marie’s right. I think she and I are just going to show up. Possibly. I asked my mom if I could go and she’s like “You’re going to fly to Washington. With Marie. To go to the wedding of a blogger that you haven’t actually met.” I’m still not sure what the problem is.
