Makeup: Day and Night, with one Palette (and some lipstick)

So the lovely people over at BA Star sent me this fun little makeup palette, and since I really miss the days when I did makeup looks, I thought I’d have some fun. I got two looks out of it, but you can definitely get more! The first is a daytime, work-friendly look, and the second is a party-time look (or a look for whenever you want some glitter in your life. Which is always. Right?)

For the daytime look, I used the three non-glitter shadows to create a nice subtle smoky eye. I really love those three shadows– they’re so smooth and saturated, and only creased a teeny bit throughout the day! I’d wear these colors every day, and they would be very flattering on pretty much any skin tone.

Lip Color: Revlon Kiss Me Coral

But I am seriously in love with these colors. As you can see, they’re very rich and lovely! (Ignore my lack of blending, there. I got impatient.)

For the party-time look, I slathered my eyelids in the gold glitter, and am realizing now that it is most likely meant for more as an eyeliner. Because it’s gel, it never set up or dried out, so it got all sticky and creasy. Which, you know… wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t overdosed, and had stuck to using it as a liner. But I like glitter. What can I say?

Lip Color: Revlon… something… from years ago that I love and haven’t thrown away yet.A great sub would be Revlon’s Kate Moss lipstick in 01.

Overall, I would definitely recommend BA Star’s palettes! They’re super fun, small enough to fit in your purse, and you can go from a daytime demure look to a nighttime fun look with one neat little package! And, you all know me: they’re also really affordable. These palettes are under $10. And that’s awesome.
