Floral pants for spring
I chose this shirt along with a dress from a giveaway I won from Shannon Hearts/The Jean Girl, and I wasn’t actually sure if I would like the length. Usually, these types of shirts don’t fit over my hips if they fit the rest of me, but this one is flared just barely enough to fit and skim perfectly without looking too blousy! I love it. Especially because it goes perfectly with these floral pants! I adore them, but this is the first shirt I’ve found that I really love with them!
I’ve been trying to find new places around our house to take outfit pictures, and this little glen of trees is perfect except that the ground is super soft from moles, so every step I take I have to be really careful or I’ll sink. It’s especially tricky in heels. And funny. I just hope I don’t set the tripod in the wrong spot and tumble the camera. I have this suspicion that a certain handsome someone (husband) would be a little unhappy if I dropped his camera.
We went to see Jurassic Park in 3D on Tuesday. It was the first time I’ve ever seen Jurassic Park, and I have to admit I jumped a few times. That movie gets so intense! But it’s also a pretty funny movie. And the 3D gave it so much depth and life; even though you could tell certain backgrounds or animals were fake, it was just a great experience. I almost prefer 3D movies that are just depth and no tricks of reaching out.
Mr. Owl pointed out that the pattern of the lace on my shirt looks like skulls, and now I can’t unsee it. Or stop wondering whether it was a purposeful design, or accidental. What do you think?

I want to see Jurassic Park in 3D so badly! I remember seeing it in the theatre when it first came out back in the day.
These floral pants are so cute! I really love how perfectly the color of your top matches the pants. Your earrings are really pretty too.

Ha, it does look like skulls! I can’t imagine that it’s on purpose though – I mean, who would’ve thought of mint-colored skulls?
Eccentric Owl
I know, right?

I’ve seen a lot of lace skull shirt lately, so it could be on purpose. Anyways, I love those floral pants!

That’s what I was wondering, too. It could be purposeful, but it’s so subtle and the shirt is so minty (and the other Jean Girl items aren’t very indicative of them being interested in skull designs) that I’m not sure it was on purpose!

I think the skulls are very subtle even if purposeful at all, its the combination of patterned lace and floral jeans that I love! Also totally adore the 4th photo where the fern is framing your face. Super cool shot!

Thank you, Meanz! I like this location too; I only wish the ground wasn’t so squishy.
