Friday Giveaway: Simply Bridal (CLOSED)

To end this week’s wedding-focused posts, I’m very excited to host my first giveaway ever: a beautiful, beautiful veil from the very lovely Simply Bridal!

A few weeks before my wedding, Simply Bridal contacted me with the offer to send me a veil of my choice to either use in my wedding and review, or use as a giveaway. I chose this veil because of the beading and how delicate and pretty it is, but then just by chance I happened upon the 1950’s blusher that I ended up using… so guess what?

I’m giving away this gorgeous, beaded veil to one of you lucky brides-to-be (or, y’know, if you’re just hoping to be a bride someday, or if you want it to wear… whenever…) to wear in your wedding.

I would totally have worn it had I not chanced on a 1950’s blusher at an antique store. Because this veil is stunning!

The silver beading drapes so beautifully around the edges, and the comb is nice and sturdy so it’ll stay put in any hairdo you have.

All you have to do to win this gorgeous piece is:
1. Like me on Facebook, and leave the name with which you liked me (Or, if you don’t have Facebook, you can always subscribe to the blog via email, and leave me your email address.)
2. Leave me a comment telling me the funniest/corniest/weirdest pickup line anyone has ever used on you.
3. Upvote your favorite comment.

The comment with the most upvotes will be the winner, so don’t forget to come back and vote for yourself or for someone else! And remember, you don’t have to be a bride to enter and win!

This giveaway will be open until January 11, 2013, so you have plenty of time to enter and give me your best story!

Good luck!

The strangest pickup line someone has used on me was said by a guy in my food preparation class in high school. I was cleaning up after class one day and he sauntered up and leaned on the counter so he was right in my face and said all dramatically, ‘hey, you know, you’re, you’re really great at washing dishes, I thought you should know…’.

I like you on Facebook under Margaret Selin!

  • LaShanda

I liked you on FB, LaShanda Taylor. “You must be from Tennessee because you are the only TEN I SEE!” Corny, right?!?! By the way, the veil is a true 10!

Oh, so corny and funny! That’s like the kid who came up to me (he was probably 18, at the time I was 21) in a LIBRARY and said “how much does a polar bear weigh? Enough to break the ice” and then went on to say how he’d never watch foreign films (which I was looking at) because there are subtitles, and if he wanted to read, he’d go to school.
      It was pretty sad.

I liked you on Facebook (Eleanor Moss)

The strangest pickup line ever used on me happened in a bar: My buddy over there says I could never get a girl with glasses. So what do you say? I mean, those are some boxer dropping frames.

My best friend teases me to this day about it.

Hi! I liked you on Facebook as Marla C. GarcĂa PĂ©rez. I’m from Puerto Rico and the weirdest pickup line a guy has said to me was “Tanto arroz y yo sin aguacate” translates to “So much rice and I don’t have and avocado” …. i’m still trying to figurate it out.
